The next target is to the 1.1000 area as this week"s bearish breakout from the 5-week triangle call for
an extended sell-off and thus aggressive selling plays. Potential is to sell again at 1.1110/20.

1.1258 беше 61.8fibo на цялата корекция от 1.0846 до 1.1931...
И аз се бях съсредоточил повече в съпорта, който срещаше долара на 1.1220, а не толкова върху този факт.
Според мен пробива на това ниво може доведе до импулсивно движение надолу, което според мен ще приключи на 1.1001 (ако импулса е 38.2% от цялата корекция)...
Ако това ниво обаче бъде пробито, според мен тренда ще получи потвърждение за надолу и тогава е възможно да слезем и до 1.0431, последвано от 1.0175.
За момента обаче по-възможен ми изглежда първия сценарий и аз ще пробвам се ориентирам към него...

12:12 EUR/USD: Consolidating Losses; Bounces For Sale] Boston, August 18: The
rip-roaring ZEW index was able to spark a short-covering rally in EUR/USD this
morning in Europe, but clearly the rallies are for selling. 1.1115/20 is now
solid resistance though stops are starting to builds above that level. The
bounce relieved some of the oversold pressures on EUR/USD which had remarkably
little difficultly working through the strong zone of support between 1.1085
(March 11 high in the run-up to the war) and 1.1115, the mid-July low.
The extraordinary comments from the Taiwanese CB overnight, which amounted to
nothing more than book-talking, in retrospect, was the catalyst for this last
leg. Dealers are now eyeing another exotic trigger at 1.1050 with more stops
seen below. 1.1045 is the 61.8% retracement of the rally from 1.0505, the last
vestige for the bulls to hang onto.

The dollar added to overnight gains, rising above key resistance at 97.55 in the USD index, thereby indicating that further gains are likely in the weeks ahead. EUR/USD reached a 3-1/2 month low of 1.1080, while USD/JPY rose to 119.75. The Dow"s rise to a new 14-month high on Monday helped fuel further gains in the greenback. Above 9400 may see another 5% gain in the index over the near term. Meanwhile, S&P futures are still trading around 1,000 down from their June high of 1020. Key resistance remains at 1,020/25.

EUR/USD

The euro extended last week"s losses and fell to a previous resistance point at 1.1080 in London. This week"s losses put the pair on key trendline support from the April 2002 lows at 87.00. A break below 1.1080 could send the euro to support seen at 1.1040 Below here opens the way for 1.0635 and 1.0490. Resistance is seen at 1.1135, 1.1200/1.1220.

USD/CHF

The dollar rose back to the 1.3950 high to a session peak of 1.3980 before falling back to support at 1.3950. Maintaining above this level should aim for the 1.3980 high on its way to further gains around 1.40/42. Support seen at 1.3950 and today"s low of 1.3883.

GBP/USD

Sterling plunged nearly another cent today to 1.5835 after failing to hold above 1.5975, the 61.8% of its 1.5775-1.6310 advance. Below 1.5835 opens the way for 1.5775. Resistance is seen at 1.5905, 1.5975, 1.6138 and last Monday"s high of 1.6188.

USD/JPY

The dollar rose to a session high of 119.73 and is stuggling to hold above resistance seen at 119.60. Further resistance seen at 120 followed by the 120.60-70 region. Key support seen at 119 and 118.65, which marks the 50% retracement of the rally from 116.65 (July 15) to the pair"s 3-month high at 120.67.

Keeping back today"s gains was the Nikkei rising further above the 10,000 level to a new 1 year high of 10,175. The dollar continues to exhibit trouble against the yen yet on a daily chart the dollar/yen pair continues to rise in a channel from its May 19 low of 115.05. Moreover, each time the yen gains against the dollar, traders may have an opportunity to again play the intervention trade as government support for dollar/yen has been substantial.

AUD/USD

Aussie fell back below support/resistance at 0.6565/70, which marks the 61.8% retracement of the 0.6676 to 0.6409 decline. On the downside, further support starts at the 0.65-level, backed by 0.6430 and key support at 0.6409, the pair"s 2 -month low from last week. Above 0.66 eyes resistance at 0.6640, and key resistance at 0.6676, the multi-week high from July 29. Meanwhile, AUD/JPY was rejected from its triangle formation, now touching the downtrend resistance at 78.70 and fell to a session low of 78.00 from an overnight high above 79.00.

USD/CAD

The dollar rose one cent on the day to a session high of 1.3971. A rise above today"s high targets 1.39 and 1.40. Key resistance remains at 1.4125 -- the 50% retracement level of the fall from 1.4941 to 1.1.3306. Firm support seen at 1.39 and 1.3760.
