MEPs to discuss democracy, rule of law, fundamental rights in Bulgaria
MEPs will hold a meeting on the recent developments in Bulgaria with the country’s Deputy Chief Prosecutor, Ms Filipova, Deputy Prime Minister for Judicial Reform and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ms Zaharieva and Deputy Minister of Justice, Ms. Ahladova. Representatives from the Council of Europe's Venice Commission and Group of States against Corruption, European Economic and Social Committee and the Commission will also take part in the discussion. Furthermore, MEPs will hear from Bulgarian civil society representatives and a journalist.
The meeting will take place on Friday 28.8. from 9.00 until 13.30. It will be held partly remotely and in camera
