С Решение № Л-145/13.12.2004 год., Държавната комисия за енергийно регулиране издаде на Биовет АД-Пещера
1. Лицензия за извършване на дейност "Производство на електрическа и топлинна енергия" чрез топлоелектрическа централа с електрическа мощност 18 MW и топлинна мощност 68 MW за срок от 20 години от получаване на разрешението за извършване на лицензионна дейност, с условие да изгради енергийния обект;
2. Определя срок за изграждане на енергийния обект - 1 година от връчване на Решението.

Peshtera, December 6, 2004 - GE Energy was recently awarded a contract by Biovet of Peshtera, Bulgaria to provide its LM2000 aero-derivative gas turbine. Biovet is the largest European supplier of feed additives, enzymes and pharmaceuticals for animal health.
The deal represents:
-the first LM2000 to be installed in Europe and is;
-the first gas turbine for power generation to be installed in Bulgaria
-one of the first transactions in Bulgaria that involves carbon reduction and financing

GE will also provide delivery and onsite maintenance. The unit is being packaged (assembled) in GE Energy's aero energy facility in Houston, Texas. It will then be shipped overseas to Greece from where it will be transported across land to Peshtera, Bulgaria.

For pharmaceutical companies, one of the largest cost components of manufacturing is energy. By producing both electricity and steam, Biovet's LM2000 will reduce its manufacturing cost by 10%. The gas turbine generator package for the factory's energy supply has been designed and manufactured by GE Energy for this cogeneration plant . The electricity the LM2000 generates will serve the day-to-day demands of the factory, normally around 12MW. Any excess power will be sold directly to Bulgaria's public grid. The turbine is configured with steam injection to reduce NOx emissions in the exhaust gas. The NOx abated exhaust gas is then sent to a Heat Recovery Steam Generator (HRSG) to produce the 25 tones per hour of steam needed for the sterilization production process in the factory.

The new power plant will generate reduction of CO2 emissions. Biovet has participated in ERUPT4, a Dutch Government tender for purchase of Emission Reduction Units under the Joint Implementation mechanism of the Kyoto Protocol. The project has been approved and Biovet signed a contract with the Dutch Government on September 22 for the sale of 486,000 t CO2. The emission reductions will be generated between 2006 and 2012 and the contract value represents approximately 20% of the total investment cost.

GE's aircraft engine business has a history of transferring technology from its flight engine to industrial gas turbines such as the LM2000. The biggest advantage of this crossover program was that similarities in technology meant critical turbine testing had already been successfully completed during development of the CF6 aircraft engine. The CF6 is one of the best-selling, safest and most economical aircraft engines in the world and operates in 1,994 aircraft, having covered 261 million commercial flight hours since 1971. The LM2000 gas turbine reflects the efficiency and reliability of its CF6 aero ancestor and the LM2500 gas turbine legacy. There are over 800 industrial LM2500 engines in service having covered over 38 million operating hours. GE is in a unique position to be able to offer aero-derivative technology to its energy customers. The advantages of which are clear: huge resources have gone into improving the reliability, efficiency and cost of maintaining of GE's aircraft engines. Now this knowledge has been transferred to the gas turbines it builds for power generation.

Biovet's move signals a growing trend in Central and Eastern Europe for industrial companies to become auto-producers and to satisfy independently their energy needs through cogeneration installations.

Not only so that they can demonstrate market value, but also to help grow their economies and we see the Bulgarian economy getting ready for the next wave of EU enlargement as a best practice example for this process."

Kiril Domuschiev, president of Biovet, commented, "The LM2000 gives us an immediate 10% saving on our manufacturing process. We need to invest as we move into new areas, such as human pharmaceuticals. It is efficiency in the business that allows us to make investments as well as support our growth and European competitiveness. GE brings us better efficiency and therefore great value to our business."

The gas turbine is scheduled for delivery on March 15, 2005 and completion of the project is expected to be September 31, 2005.

За дружеството могат да се кажат много за и против. Сигурно е източвано от мажоритара, въпрост е че почти всички дружества се източват от мажоритарите им под една или друга форма. Защо при другите дружества не отчитаме това а тук ни прави впечатление. маи имаме двоен стандарт. Ако трябва да инвестираме в дружества в които сме 100% обедени че всичко е кристално....то такива има само 2-3 на пазара...........горко ни
