CEZ is yet to decide whether to extend deadline for Inercom or negotiate with India Power Corporation for Bulgarian assets sale
CEZ a.s. has not yet decided whether it should extend the deadline for Inercom to pay for CEZ’s Bulgarian assets or launch talks with another bidder India Power Corporation, Mergermarket reported, citing Hospodarske noviny. The report cited CEZ chairman and CEO Daniel Benes.
The winning bidder for CEZ's Bulgarian assets, Inercom, has until the end of this month to pay for the assets. Inercom has exclusivity therefore CEZ cannot negotiate with the other bidder India Power Corporation, Benes said. The transaction could be worth up to CZK 9bn (EUR 347m), the item added.
